President Ivanov awarded 4 army personnel with “medal for bravery” for the Laskarci accident


The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, awarded medals for bravery to four members of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, who contributed to the timely provision of assistance and extraction of the victims in the traffic accident on February 13 at the village of Laskarci.

President Ivanov decorated Semir Feta, Omer Emini, Bujamin Redzepi and Seljadin Saljihi with “Medal for bravery ” for their exceptional courage and sacrifice, who by personal efforts as professional soldiers and members of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia contributed to timely provision of assistance and extraction of the victims in the traffic accident that happened at the village of Laskarci, on the road Skopje-Tetovo.

The Macedonian President said that these medals for courage are a symbolic way in which the Macedonian state and Macedonian citizens express their gratitude. “You confirmed the faithfulness of the Army to the Macedonian citizens, saved your lives, and restored your hope and faith in goodness. You have restored the belief that there is goodness in this world, and that for that goodness it is worth fighting, every day and constantly, “the Macedonian President said.

“With your courage, you are an example not only for other members of the Macedonian army, but for the whole Macedonian society. In the work you showed that coexistence is actually a concern for the life of the other person, irrespective of ethnic, linguistic or religious affiliation, “President Ivanov said at the ceremony of awarding the medal for courage.

Professional soldier Semir Feta, who lives in the village of Laskarci, expressed his gratitude to the country’s president for the medals awarded. “I express my condolences to the families of the dead, and I wish the wounded faster recovery. Anyone who finds himself in the place would help in this case, “said Semir Feta after awarding the Medal of Courage.
