In 1995, when the Republic of Macedonia was pressed by the embargo imposed by Greece, the Macedonian government, in the process of normalization of relations with the Republic of Greece, signed the Interim Accord on September 13 in New York, according to which Macedonia “will cease to use in any way, the symbol shown on its national flag before enforcement of this Agreement.”<\/p>\n
