\"\"The XXIII Colloquium of the International Academy of Heraldry (Acad\u00e9mie Internationale d\u2019H\u00e9raldique) was held in the city of Ia\u0219i \u2014 the historical capital of Moldova and the cultural heart of Romania \u2014 from August 27 to 30, 2025. The event was organized by the Romanian Institute of Genealogy and Heraldry \u201cSever Zotta\u201d (Institutul Rom\u00e2n de Genealogie \u0219i Heraldic\u0103 \u201cSever Zotta\u201d), which was attended by Dr. Mihai-Bogdan Atanasiu aig, Dr. Tudor-Radu Tiron AIH and Dr\u0103gan-George Basarab\u0103 aih. The professional and excellent organization of the event ensured a scientific and yet friendly atmosphere. The colloquium was held under the patronage of the Royal Family of Romania, in partnership with the National Museum Complex \u201cMoldova\u201d and the University \u201cAlexandru Ioan Cuza\u201d. The lectures, dedicated to heraldry, were presented in the Palace of Culture and the University Hall \u2014 the famous Kantakouzenos House.<\/p>\n

The Macedonian Heraldic Society (MHS) was represented by the Chief Herald Dr. Jovan Jonovski, who, in the recognizable tabard, presented the paper: \u201cBetween Constantinople and Vienna: Regional Specifics of a Coat of Arms Conferred to a Family of Macedonian Origin\u201d for the Belio Family of Linotopi and Moskople, whose prominent members lived and worked in Vienna and Bucharest. The Vardar Herald, Dr. Ivan Nacevski, presented the paper: \u201cThe Coat of Arms of the Mrnjav\u010devi\u0107 Family in Illyrian Heraldry\u201d. Among the honorary members of the MHS, Dr. Stojan Antonov from Bulgaria, Dr. Agne Rajlajte Barde from Lithuania, and Dr. Tudor Radu Tiron from Romania also participated in the colloquium. Dr. Snezana Filipova also participated.<\/p>\n

The research presented and the ideas shared once again highlighted the importance of heraldry as part of the intangible cultural heritage of Europe, but also as a unique form of personal and collective identification.<\/p>\n

At the general assembly of the International Academy of Heraldry, Dr. Jonovski was admitted from an associate to a full membership of the academy.
