Portolans shows a yellow flag with a red double-headed eagle above City od Skopje. The heraldic flags attributed to Alexander the Great in medieval European sources are also included. Among the rebellion flags under Ottoman Empire the oldest preserved is from 1876 Macedonian Uprising in Razlovci. From the insurgent flags of Ilinden Uprising in 1903 came the color of the flag on Macedonian national flag of 1943. Тhe red partisan five-pointed star is from 1941 and latter appears on the flags of all republics in Yugosalvia. Under this flag the Republic of Macedonia won its independence in 1991. The star was replaced in 1992 with the yellow 16-pointed sun of Kutlesh/Vergina type, which in turn was replaced with an 8-rayed divergent sun. The design processes and proposals are discussed in detail.
Jovan Jonovski Copyright (c) 2022 Jovan Jonovski https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/120 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 17:34:37 -0400 Употребата, значењето и изработката на Мијачките семејни знамиња - The Use, Meaning and Making of the Mijak Family Flags https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/121
Every Mijak family in the past had its own flag. The use of the family flags is associated with several customs, which were performed during their display, carrying, and finally disposing. Without performing those customs and rituals, the flag would not have been hoisted. These flags had their own symbolism and meaning for which they were used. The wedding in the Mijak villages did not start, without displaying the flag in the house where the wedding took place. If the flag was not displayed, it meant that some accident had happened, or if it was disposed immediately after the wedding, it meant that the bride was dishonest.
2005-2019 - Emblems of the Logistics Support Brigade 2005-2018 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/115
The article gives a description and a visual representation of the emblems of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia (ARM) Logistics Support Brigade and its units, from 2005 when the first emblem was designed, until 2018 when the last change of its insignia was made. From the author’s collection, in total, 33 emblems for combat uniforms are displayed, as well as the badge of the ARM Traffic Service from 2003. Particularly interesting for our heraldry are the emblem of the Logistics Support Command and the emblems of the 1st Logistics Battalion and the HQ units, designed in 2006, when elements of municipal coats of arms were for the first time inserted in military insignia of the Macedonian Army, according to the territorial location of the units.
Trajce Trajkov Copyright (c) 2022 Trajce Trajkov https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/115 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 00:00:00 -0400 Монети и медалјони со ликот на Гоце Делчев - Coins and Medallions with the Image of Goce Delchev https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/122
Numismatics is the science of studying, collecting, and preserving currencies in terms of coins and banknotes. From their appearance in the VII century BC until today, coins are an extremely important tool in the creation and shaping of the iconography and symbolism of a society. It may be said that issuing coins, in order to mark an occasion or event, is a phenomenon as old as the coins themselves. The purpose of this article is to review the current practice of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia in issuing appropriate collector coins, with special reference to money and other numismatic objects that bear the image of the Macedonian revolutionary Goce Delchev. In 1978, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Ilinden Uprising and the 75th anniversary of his demise, two gold and one silver medallion with his image were issued. Also the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia issued in 2003, on the occasion of 100 years of Ilinden, a gold coin with his image. Paranumismatical objects from other organizations will also be considered. Events of special importance for Macedonia, as well as certain numismatic events in the region, also influenced the direction of this article.
Ivan Nacevski Copyright (c) 2022 Ivan Nacevski https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/122 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 17:30:09 -0400 MHS Activitiy and Register (18) 2022 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/126 Admin Copyright (c) 2022 Admin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://heraldika.org.mk/macedonianherald/index.php/mkherald/article/view/126 Thu, 30 Jun 2022 17:55:07 -0400
